Dynamics Seminar-Gibbs measures (II)

Friday, 10/2/2020, 6:00pm - 11:59pm

This meeting will be Friday, October 2,  2pm to 3 pm on Zoom.

Speaker: Prof. Lien-Yung (Nyima) Kao, GWU
Title: Gibbs measures (II)

Abstract: In this week we will continue our discussion on Gibbs measure. We will focus on the symbolic dynamics systems and introduce Ruelle’s Perron-Frobenius theorem. Our discussion will based on Rufus Bowen’s “ Equilibrium States and the Ergodic Theory of Anosov Diffeomorphisms” and well as “ Zeta Function and the Periodic orbits structure of hyperbolic dynamics” written by William Parry and Mark Pollicott.
