Title: On Wittgenstein’s Tractatus and its unwritten part
Abstract: The Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus sets off a use logic to show the demarcations and limits of discourse and factual knowledge. Through a type of logical atomism, the space of all factual propositions is mapped from within in a very Kantian fashion. However, above all else, it is a book about what lies outside of that sphere. As such, it explores all things that can be said in an effort to shine a light into those that can only be shown.
In this talk, we will quickly go over Wittgenstein's time in Vienna and explore a series of propositions from the Tractatus in an effort to better understand his work.
