Title: Phase field model of cell migration

Abstract: In this talk, I introduce our recent results on phase field modeling of cell migration. We develop a computational framework for cell morphology dynamics which couples the actin flow, cell-substrate adhesion and cell morphology. The phase field method allows the coupling between the cell shape with advection-reaction-diffusion processes occurring in the cell interior. We apply the developed framework to cells interacting with more complex environments such as cell moving on micro-patterned substrates, cell confined in a squared box, and cell chemotaxis.
